I have lived in Dallas County for 27 years. I earned my Masters of Finance from Drake in 2012. I am a retired CPA and CIA. I worked at KPMG as an audit manager and 20+ years controlling expenses at a billion-dollar corporation. Dallas County will spend over $80 million in this fiscal year.
We need a CPA on the board!

Common Sense Spending
1. Limit spending to essential County expenses.
We don’t need “nice to have” extras.
2. Control salary expense through informing HR of the expectations. HR should not tell the board what their own raise will be.
3. Freeze property taxes on residential and business properties for one year. This has a multiplying effect for future years.
